Poems by Gwendolyn MacEwen, Earle Birney, Michael Ondaatje, Margaret Atwood, and others. All are beautifully illustrated by Urquhart, a Canadian artist recognized with the Order of Canada and whose work ranges from natural landscapes to studies of European cemetaries. His work in this volume is reminiscent of the 19th century book illustrators of the revival of printing and fine press movements.
