News clipping inserted between pp. 220-221 in vol. 3 has discoloured the pages. The Rev. William Case was an early Canadian Methodist minister known for his missionary work among the Six Nations. These volumes describe his work as well as that of some of his contemporaries. They also provide a detailed description of the ignorance, both religious and otherwise, of the Canadian population at the time.
