During his lifetime Richard Outram produced ten commercially available collections of poetry, beginning in 1966 with this volume. The phrase "Exsultate, Jubilate" is a Latin phrase meaning "Rejoice, be glad." It is the title of a motet by Mozart, with a text that is a joyful expression of praise and devotion, and the phrase "Exsultate, jubilate" appears in its first movement.
