The so-called "deathbed edition of 1891-92" is, technically speaking, not a distinct edition but a reprinting of the 1881-82 edition with "annexes." Whitman died March 26, 1892, making this "Leaves" the last of his lifetime. Title page probably a cancel because McKay had recently bought out Whitman's previous publisher, Rees Walsh, and chose to place his cancel title on Walsh's leftover unbound sheets. Myerson A 2.7.12
