Travels to Toronto, St. Thomas, London, Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Detroit, Chicago, train across Canada, Vancouver, Banff, Christmas back in Aylmer. Inside the rear cover is stapled the owner's furlough form for travel in the U.S.A., issued at Aylmer in January 1945. According to this pass, Gilbert was from Great Britain. He may be Edgar Dinely Prior Gilbert, who died in September 1999 in London, UK.
