For years Holownia journeyed to Gros Morne National Park along Newfoundland's Northern Peninsula to put together this body of work. In response to the photos, Sanger drew upon his own experience of living, working and travelling in Newfoundland to compose the thirty poems. Together, the poetry and prints recreated the history and nature of Newfoundland's northwest coast.
