Good Old Moore! by songwriter Robert Patrick Weston (1878 1936) refers to Moore's Almanack, an astrological almanack published in Britain since 1697. A bestseller throughout the 18th and 19th centuries, it is still published today, listing predictions of world events. Audiences listening to Harry Bedford, English music hall entertainer (1873-1939), would have understood the tongue-in-cheek reference to the prophet who predicts the obvious. Rear cover lists other music published by Francis, Day & Hunter, listing the singer or composer.
