Sea-Pie Magazine was started in 1917 to raise funds for charities helping seamen and their families during wartime. It contains a variety of stories and and cartoons, much as a traditional sea-pie would have been a hodge-podge of various meats and seafoods under one hearty pie crust. See page 73 for a cartoon by Anson Dyer (1876-1962), a major figure in British animation for over 30 years.
