While we can find information about a "Western Football Association of Ontario" in 1890, no information is forthcoming about this "Central" version. Both organizations appear to have been headquartered in Berlin, now Kitchener, Ontario. The W.F.A. formed June 30, 1880 but this C.F.A. booklet doesn't provide organizational history. Instead, it lists officers, clubs, constitution and rules, laws of the game, etc. Football goods advertised on rear cover from D. Forsyth, Berlin. "D" must be David Forsyth (1852 1936), a Berlin High School teacher and soccer player known as the "Father of Canadian Soccer."
