An offprint from vol. 49 (1957), no. 2, of Ontario History, this is the diary of two Moravian Church missionaries on a journey with 33 natives from Fairfield, Upper Canada to Schonbrun (modern Ohio) in 1798. The Fairfield mission was later destroyed by American troops during the War of 1812. Describes late 18th century Detroit, native legends, the rum trade, poisonous snakes, etc.
