    XXIV, 464 p. 22 cm. 89 engravings from watercolour sketches by the author. Red cloth with gold print. All edges gilt. Slight spine lean. Corners bumped. Rebacked with original spine laid on. Dampstain to rear cover and some red bleeding to last index page. Some other small stains to exterior. Scuff on rear endpapers. Prize bookplate on front endpaper from Birkenhead College in 1894, awarded to William Egerton for various subjects, signed by Robert Brown, Principal. Pages 273-8 are jutting out a bit.
