Page numbers 361-372 repeat in vol. 1. Small holes in vol. 2, p. 103, 151. First volume has bookplate on front pastedown for Margaret Smith Burges. At least two states of this edition exist, discernible by the number of lines in the penultimate paragraph of vol. 1. The other version contains only 6 lines (Copac). There has been some speculation as to the author of this work. The Dictionary of National Biography attributes it to John Adolphus, but this is not proven.
