Autobiography of Hollywood pioneer Albert E. Smith, who is credited with inventing one of the first motion picture cameras in 1896 and founded Vitagraph Studios in 1897. Its first claim to fame was newsreels, followed by many famous silent films. Eventually Smith was awarded an honorary Oscar for his pioneering efforts during the infancy of the movie industry.
