Details: 72, 71, 70, 71 p. 14 cm. 16 b&w illustrations, incl. an engraved frontispiece at the beginning of each story. Full leather with blank impressing. Spine label reads "Gift". All edges gilt. Front hinge cracking and tender, with hole near label. Boards rubbed, edges and corners worn. Endpapers dampstained. Foxing is mainly to the frontispiece plates.
