The buyer of the shares appears to have been Harrison Corey (1840-1905) of Petrolia, Ontario, owner of the Corey House Hotel and involved in many businesses. Eventually he got into the oil business and was one of Petrolia's largest producers. He formed a partnership with his son, Bloss Parsons Corey to manufacture explosives (we have stock certificates in B.P.'s name as well). Corey himself was at one time Vice-President of the Globe Stone Company, Joliet.
