Commemorates the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1887. Sometimes called the "British Empire" plate, the busy decoration provides much information about the Empire "on which the sun never sets," including a map and statistics. A prominent figure of Britannia appears at top centre, hand-painted with a golden trident. The future King Edward VII appears on the far right.
