LARISEY, Peter.
Perhaps the best known member of the Group of Seven, Harris pioneered a distinctly Canadian painting style in the early 20th century. He was inspired by the stark, bare north shore of Lake Superior (eg. Plates 23 & 24) and successfully translated its isolation and loneliness into art. Foreword by Arthur Erickson.
