The annual calendars produced by the Toronto Art League are milestones in the history of Canadian graphic arts. Each calendar had a different theme, which in 1901 was Canadian village life. The artists include R. Holmes, F. H. Brigden, C. W. Jefferys, T. Garland Greene, W. W. Alexander, A. H. Howard, W. D. Blatchly, and others. The motto "Non Clamor Sed Amor" on front cover means "Not Loudness But Love." Front designed by R. Weir Crouch.
