Wallace Clement Sabine (1868 - 1919) was an American physicist who founded the field of architectural acoustics. He graduated from Ohio State University in 1886 at the age of 18 before joining Harvard University for graduate study and remaining as a faculty member. Sabine was acoustical architect of Boston's Symphony Hall, widely considered one of the best concert halls in the world for its acoustics. Note a former owner of the book is John C. B. Horwood (1864-1938), a founding member of the Arts and Letters Club of Toronto, member of the Toronto Society of Architects, the Toronto Architectural 18 Club and the Toronto Architectural Sketch Club.
