Regular price $25.00 CAD Sale

Haggard came up with the idea for this novel in 1916 while travelling on a ship from South Africa to Australia and glancing at islands as he passed. On one he imagined Mary, a young Englishwoman gone "primitive," talking to the goats, penguins and albatrosses on her lonely home.
