Details: 112 p., interspersed with plates. 31 cm. 16 pasted-in colour plates with captioned tissue guards. 6 other full-page b&w plates and illustrations. 88 illustrations altogether. This edition omits 2 b&w illustrations found in the English edition but adds one which does not. Half brown leather with marbled paper boards and endpapers. Top edge gilt. Spine is a bit faded and hinges are cracking in spine ends. Corners and edges worn. French text a different adaptation from the English.
