    The Ninth edition, revised and corrected. [8], 398 + 2 p. of ads and 10 p. of indices. 34 cm. Frontispiece portrait and title page vignette. Full leather with rectangular decorated panel. Worn and front board detached. Ink signature on front pastedown. Worm holes front endpapers and into first pages. More holes towards centre and rear, always in bottom margin towards centre. Hole in p. 7 top. Ink notation on frontispiece page and p. 343. Well-thumbed. A few small spots only except for brown mark in margin of p. 320 and ink blot on p. 39. Also some damp stains towards rear. Text block holding together well. Frontispiece and title page have red rules. Obviously a well-read copy.
