n.d. Unpaginated. 24 cm. Many illustrations, both black and white and colour, by Cecil Aldin. Quarter leather with pictorial boards. Spine bumped top and bottom. Minor marks and scuffing. Edges rubbed. Owner's signature on both endpapers. Thumbprints. An endearing tale told from the point of view of a six month old puppy named Snowball. Puppies have it "ruff" - Snowball is plagued by kittens, jumps at butterflies, ends up in disgrace after chewing on a mutton bone, feels ill after drinking a jug of cream. Each part is accompanied by a coloured picture. Aldin was known for his illustration of fox hunting but it was his love of dogs that featured most prominently in his pictures. Even an adult dog lover will enjoy this day in the life of a little doggie.
