THORPE, Francis Newton
Francis Newton Thorpe (1857-1926) was Professor of History at the University of Pennsylvania and admitted to that state's bar in 1885. He specialized in state constitutions and was chief editor the university's History of North America Project during his tenure. These seven volumes represent a detailed example of his scholarship in the field.
