a portfolio of prints of Gusman's illustrations of murals and artwork recovered at the Pompei archeological cite. The images are a reasonable size for framing and home decoration. In addition, the works offer an artist's interpretation of an important historical site and the art recovered and restored after the famous eurption that buried the city and its ancient inhabitants alive. Pierre Gustave Adolphe Gusmand (1862-1941) was a Roman historian as well as an artist in his own right. These prints are also good examples of his work.
