Report on Pine Creek (N.G.E. Ltd.), Atlin Mining Division
SHEELER, W. L.
Original typescript report on the mining possibilities of Pine Creek in the Atlin Mining Division. Photos show creek beds and former works of the described property, but there are 4 photos showing the ghost town of Discovery. The location of the mining region in this report is near the original site of the old mining town. Pine Creek empties into Lake Atlin. Report covers the site's transportation, climate, property, buildings, water rights, history, winter work, extimates, recommendations, lode possibilities. Report also covers the history of the Atlin Gold Rush beginning in the 1890s through the time of this report in 1933. Compiled for the N.G.E. Ltd. to study the profiitability of starting a placer mining operation on Pine Creek. Terry was apparently the president of the mining company while Porter controlled the property.
