Vertot (1655-1735) was a French historian and pastor to several small parishes in Normandy. He wrote several histories and was made a member of the Academie des inscriptions. French text.

Owner's signature on final text page. Some chipped page edges, not affecting text, probably original paper flaws. Tear at bottom of p. 233 does not affect legibility.
