Regular price $300.00 Sale

Isak Dinesen was the pen name of Karen Blixen whose writing was twice nominated for a Nobel Prize. As a young Danish woman she married a distant relative, a Swedish Baron, and they moved to Kenya. Her time there is the inspiration for this work, and it is considered to be mostly accurate, with a few flourishes to enhance the story. The author's best-known book, it was the basis for the well-loved 1985 film directed by Sidney Pollack starring Robert Redford and Meryl Streep.
