TRAVERS, P. L.; SHEPARD, Mary (illus.)
First published in 1934, Mary Poppins is the first in a series of eight children's books written by Pamela Lyndon Travers about the mysterious flying English nanny. Mary Shepard, daughter of Pooh illustrator E. H. Shepard, illustrated every book, primarily because her father was too busy to undertake the project. Travers discovered his daughter's work on a Christmas card.
