Australian journalist, poet and novelist Louse Mack (1875-1935) was a courageous, resourceful and confidant woman who nagivated her way through northern Europe during the First World War. In 1914, when war broke out, Louise was in Belgium where she continued to work as the first woman war correspondent for the Evening News and the London Daily Mail.
