A Tramp Abroad is the third of Twain's five works of travel literature which follows two men as they travel through Germany, Italy, and the Alps. The book is a record of Twain's own travels but he invents a fictional traveling companion "Harris" who is based on his real life friend and fellow writer, Joseph Twichell. Published in 1880, this edition was released in Canada simultaneous to the first American publication.

Green cloth boards with gold lettering and designs imprinted on spine and front board. Spine ends repaired. Joints repaired with internally. Some rubbing to boards and wear to corners. Pages browning a little with a few spots, particularly to pp. 138-9.
