GOSSE, Philip Henry

Regular price $500.00 Sale

Philip Henry Gosse (1810-1888) was an English naturalist and popularizer of natural science. Based in part on a diary Gosse kept during a year-long sojourn in Alabama in 1838, this book has many hunting stories as well as descriptions of flora and fauna. Its chief interest lies in the fact that Gosse lived for many months in areas seldom visited by other travellers.
