A collection of 40 poems by poet and anthologist Arthur James Marshall Smith (1902-1980). Smith was a member of the Montreal Group, a collective formed at McGill in the 1920s of Montreal writers dedicated to Modernism. Smith is the recipient of both the Governor-General's award (1943) and the Lorne Pierce medal from the Royal Society of Canada (1966).
