The Miscellaneous Poems of William Wordsworth. In Four Volumes
An attractive set of this important collection. The Advertisement at the beginning of Vol. I explains that, with the exception of a few small pieces and the "Excursion," the four volumes contain all the published poems of the author. This is followed by a dedication dated 1815 to Sir George Beaumont, and a Preface dating to the same year. At the end of Vol. III is an Essay; Supplement to the Preface. Vol. IV ends with the Preface to the third edition of Lyrical Ballads (1802) and an appendix on Poetic Diction. Healey (Cornell catalogue) 64. Tinker 2345.
