Engraved title pages, each with a different illustration, but three stating Printed for John Bell near Exeter Exchange Strand London. Vol. I: Jan. 1st, 1778. Vol. II: Jan. 10th, 1778. Vol. III cut off at bottom. Vol. IV: Jan. 14th, 1778. Tree calf with gilt trim. Burgundy, black and green spine labels. Books 36 to 39 of Bell's Poets. Vol. 36 has two missing spine labels (though one has been preserved inside) and vol. 37 has one missing. Front pastedowns have bookplates of Douglas of Cavers and small reference labels (the only indication of library usage).
