Harrison and Sons, St. Martin's Lane [printer]
Book used at the marriage of Victoria, Princess Royal, eldest daughter of Queen Victoria, to Prince Friedrich Wilhelm, Crown Prince of Prussia. The wedding took place in the Chapel Royal at St James' Palace, London on the 25th January 1858. Note Queen Victoria's gold "VR" cypher with crown. This book includes the actual words spoken during the service. The original recipient of this book at the ceremony is unknown, possibly an invited guest or member of the clergy. It is signed, however, by Spencer Lyttelton (1818-1889), Master of Ceremonies of the Royal Household.
