William Morris (1834-1896) was an English author, designer, and publisher with connections to the Pre-Raphaelites, the Revival of Printing, the Fabian Society, and other Socialist and Aesthetic circles. The Earthly Paradise was a 12-book long poem that retold a multitude of epic myths from classical and Norse traditions. Boos' book is a study of that work.
