Sir John Fortesque wrote what was originally a twenty volume history of the British Army, from the Norman Conquest to the First World War between 1899 and 1930. This set, published in 1910 covers the Army's history up to and including the Battle of Coruna of 1809. The set has an extraordinary amount of historical detail from a military perspective. A fantastic find for the military history buff.
