Includes: Act Establishing the Commission of Conservation; conservation of agricultural resources, minerals, natural resources, water-powers (written by Adam Beck), fish and game, fur-bearing animals (and how to prevent their extinction), public health, forest trees, water wealth, national traditions, migratory birds, etc.; reports on unsanitary housing, housing and town planning, oyster farming in PEI, smoke prevention, "dead-heads" in rivers, electrification of railways, medicine in war, and so on. 1914 report from the National Council of Women and Conservation. Much interesting reading here.

    10 vols.: xv, 216; vii, 230; vi, 154; viii, 238; x, 287; x, 333; x, 283; x, 344; vii, 282; vii, 183 p., interspersed with plates. 26 cm. Over 200 mainly b&w illustrations and 3 maps. Green cloth hardcovers with gold print. Two volumes have some wrinkling to cloth, two have ink stamps on text block edges, one has bumped bottom corners, one has loose boards, two have some spotting to text block edge, last has small tears in spine ends. 6 have library ink stamps on front & rear endpapers or title page. 1917 has small dampstain to bottom of first pages, a few hinges cracking internally. Pages clean and bright. Good + overall.
