Duchamp is considered by many to be one of the most important artists of the 20th century, his output having influenced the development of post-World War I Western art. His ideas for the work known as The Large Glass began in 1913. Over the years he made numerous notes and studies, as well as preliminary works for the piece. This attractive volume consists of facsimiles of Duchamp's handwritten notes with English translations.
