Allgemeine Geschichte Des Christlichen Marterthums
Fox's Book of Martyrs became the model of all later martyrologies and was immensely popular with the masses. This German text edition contains a section on the history and doctrine of the Mennonites, from p. 748 onwards, and on their persecution, from p. 785. The author of these later sections was probably I. D. Rupp of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This is probably among the earliest Mennonite histories published in America.
