Le Nouveau Robinson; Pour Servir a L'Amusement et a L'Instruction des Enfants de l'un et de l'autre sexe
This is an edited version of Defoe's "The Life and Strange Surprising Adventures of Robinson Crusoe" with the addition of some geography and natural history. It is sectioned into thirty parts as told to the children by a father over as many evenings. The classic formula of the book was frequently copied by subsequent children's books. This story became a model for educators and was much praised by Rousseau. French text.
