"The Diary of an Ennuyée," first published in 1825, is a fictitious account of her travels in Italy and gained her quite a reputation when it was revealed that it wasn't completely autobiographical. The diary ends with her death, but, as an ink notation records near the beginning of this text, Mrs. Jameson really died in 1860. To Canadians she is best remembered for her "Winter Studies and Summer Rambles in Canada".
