Blank bookplate on front pastedown endpaper. Front free endpaper missing. Title page partly missing with loss of author's name, volume notation, and half of publisher and address. Leaves v-xii of Table of Contents loose. Missing pages xiv-xii and 19-20. Map stained. Each plate has library ink stamp. Some stains and thumbing throughout.
