Herbert Wrigley Wilson, British journalist and historian, wrote this detailed account of the Boer War, including descriptions of every battle. The last section includes interesting Lessons of the War, Vocabulary of Boer and Kaffir Words, casualty tables, and an index. Wilson followed this work with "After Pretoria The Guerilla War", another two-volume set.
