Full leather with gilt impressing and raised bands on spines, green and burgundy spine labels. All edges red, marbled endpapers. Corners bumped. Some chips from spines, especially bottom of vol. 1. Bookplates of former owner "Miss Gulliver" on front pastedowns. Vol. 1 page 387 has small holes. Some original imperfections in a few page edges of both volumes.
