His extraordinary wandering life makes for exciting reading, which probably explains why this copy has been so well-thumbed! He died in prison soon after this first edition of his escapades was published.

Ink scribbles opposite page as well as rear endpapers. Half of rear free endpaper is missing. Mild to medium foxing, page edges roughened.
