Illustrations of Sterne: with Other Essays and Verses
John Ferriar was a physician and poet best known for his studies of the causes of diseases such as typhoid. He dabbled in literary criticism, however, producing these comments on Lawrence Sterne. Ferriar points out several plagiarisms in which Sterne borrowed from Francois Rabelais, Sir Richard Burton and others.
