Regular price $100.00 Sale

First published in 1843 by Robert Scott (1811-1887), a Philologist and Priest, and Henry George Liddell (1811-1898), who served as Dean of Christ-Church, Oxford and Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University, and was also the father of Alice Liddell, for whom Lewis Carroll wrote Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865). The original Lexicon was thoroughly revised beginning in 1911 under the supervision of Henry Stuart Jones (1867-1939) with the assistance of Roderick McKenzie (1887-1937). The results of their labours were only published after both men's deaths with the ninth edition released in 1940. Includes Jones and McKenzie's "Addenda et Corrigenda." The text remains the standard translation tool for English students of the Greek language today.
