First published c. 1689, Parker's "Ephemeris" contains more practical information than many astrological almanacs, including info on eclipses, table of kings and queens, presidents of London hospitals, a chronology of "memorable things", names of the lord mayor and aldermen, rates for hackney coaches, chairs, watermen, etc.
